Now I want to know how Eva’s brain works. The bit that gets me is your description of what the change LOOKS like. *I* know you write, and words are your bitches, but that description is just so visually yummy that it’s like you have the brain of a CGI artist. Or just an artist. Or a director. And then I think about it, and it’s nicely sciency, too - energies involved and shit that I don’t get. So is there energy released as light in both directions of change - from smaller-form to bigger-form, and from bigger-form to smaller?

And here’s an *awful* question: why are humans the common form? I mean, if they’re mutated humans, okay. I know you’re working on the inherited aspects, but thats a lot of varieties of mutation. Makes me wonder if there aren’t some other mammals out there mutating - like, a cat that can change to a dog. Or maybe this is a smaller-mammal thing - mice that can change to bats or badgers? 

I know, I’m evil.
